The Conceptual Framework and the Continuous Assessment Plan illustrate the alignment of all education programs with Kentucky New Teacher Standards, NCATE, and learned society guidelines. For student convenience, we have included links to the Education Professional Standards Board and to Kentucky Department of Education.

The education programs at Pikeville College have earned the reputation of producing competent teachers who are well prepared academically and professionally for the rigors of classroom teaching. The 100% pass rate on the Praxis exam for three consecutive years is testimony to the effort put forth by the faculty, staff, and students and to the commitment of the division to produce effective teachers who enable all students to learn.
